Whitechapel Anarchist Group

The Spitalfields Fair

For Your Attention:

“Roll up, Roll up! Whitechapel Anarchist Group cordially invite you to the 2009 Spitalfields Fair on Sunday 26 July 12 Noon, in Allen Gardens – just a stone’s throw from Brick Lane. As living standards slide back to 1900 levels we’re reviving the rebellious spirit of long prohibited East End carnivals. There’ll be all the fun of the fair, from traditional attractions like coconut shys, to soundsystems, dancing, fancy dress, cake and food,  various stalls, market traders, face painting and other special surprises!
We’re hoping to bring carnival and events to our local area, email us if you want to get involved or just turn up to Allen Gardens on the 26th of July for a day of fun. If you come in fancy dress you’ll be entered into our prize draw; come as thieves, pirates, vagabonds, rebels, plague victims, druids and any other characters from the East End’s colourful history. Please check our wordpress blog for updates. Bring your own ideas, surprises and inspiration along!”

Get involved. Get in contact. Organise. Come Along.
